PawConnect Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PawConnect, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

PawConnect is a social networking application for pet owners in Singapore. It allows you to share pet photos and videos, connect with other pet owners, find nearby pet services, and access a curated pet products marketplace.

3. User Accounts

You must be 13 years or older to create an account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
You must provide accurate information when creating an account
You may not create multiple accounts or impersonate others

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content (photos, videos, captions) you post on PawConnect. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and distribute that content within the app.

4.1 Prohibited Content

You agree NOT to post content that:

Depicts animal abuse, cruelty, or harm
Is sexually explicit, hateful, or harassing
Violates any Singapore law or regulation
Infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights
Contains spam, misleading information, or commercial solicitation not authorised by us

5. Affiliate Marketplace (PawShop)

PawShop displays products from third-party retailers via affiliate links
When you tap "Buy Now", you are redirected to the retailer's website. PawConnect is not a party to that transaction
PawConnect may earn a commission from purchases made through affiliate links
All product information is provided for reference only. We do not guarantee accuracy, availability, or pricing
For returns, refunds, or product issues, contact the retailer directly

6. Pet Services

Service listings (vets, groomers, parks, shelters) are sourced from Apple Maps, NParks, and publicly available data. PawConnect does not endorse any specific service provider and is not responsible for the quality of services provided by third parties.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Use the app for any illegal purpose
Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service
Scrape or collect other users' data without consent
Harass, bully, or threaten other users
Post misleading or false information about pet products or services

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

PawConnect is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that service listings are always accurate or up to date.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, PawConnect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to damages arising from reliance on service listings, product purchases, or user-generated content.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings (Settings → Account → Delete Account).

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
